The annual Beachside Dash is taking place once again on Sunday 14th September at Dolls Point.

The 2024 Dash was an incredible event with 60 St Patrick's Student's representing the school and participating in the 2km event for the School Cup Challenge.

The event raises money for the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation. In 2019, 2023 and 2024 St Patrick's won the School Cup Challenge and we would love to continue with the winning streak!

On the day of the event there will be a St Patricks tent set up where school singlets will be handed out, bags/belongings stored and a chance for the students to have some fun together before and after the event.

The event is professionally timed and managed with 2km, 5km and 10km races with prizes for winners and medals for all participants.

In order for students to represent St Patrick's, they must compete in the 2km DASH PRIMARY SCHOOL. An early bird entry fee of $10 applies for children. Please use the following link to register your child:

Then enter St Patrick's Catholic Primary School Kogarah under the "Your Primary School" tab.

Students representing St Patrick's can either wear their school sports top or a St Patrick's singlet which will be provided the morning of the dash. Students will not only be representing the school but also for their own personal achievement.

The day will begin with a warm up at 10am with the race commencing at 10.10am

The School Cup Challenge winner will be determined by the aggregate time of the three fastest runners from each school. The winning school will win a $500 cash prize.

This year they have included a new fundraising competition. The school that collectively raises the most money for the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation will win a $200 sports equipment voucher.

Students of all abilities and ages can participate, and for those who do not want to run can most certainly walk, jog or both! It is a fantastic community event with the course running along the beautiful shores of Botany Bay, with family entertainment, coffee and food available.
